Melissa - Student

The GLN has cultivated in me a desire to continue learning a foreign language.

The GLN Story

In 2005, Andrew Brown founded Global Languages as a student organization at The George Washington University to engage the community and share his passion for languages with others. What began as Andrew teaching seven languages to a handful of students became the largest and most active student organization on campus, engaging over 350 volunteers to offer classes in more than fifty languages to the greater Washington, DC area.

The success of this student organization led to the establishment of the Global Language Network (GLN), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. The GLN aims to establish a vast, diverse network to deliver its language services within the United States and expand its reach internationally.
